SIS graduate Mariko Kida becomes the first Japanese to win the Benois de la Danse ballet prize

The award ceremony for the Benois de la Danse—one of the most prestigious ballet prizes in the world—was held in Moscow on May 27. The prize annually recognizes the most outstanding dancers and choreographers of the previous year. Mariko Kida, a first soloist of the Royal Swedish Ballet and a 2001 graduate of then Senri International School (SIS), now Senri International School of Kwansei Gakuin, became the first Japanese to win the prize.
