On February 14th, at the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art in Nada, Kobe City, Kwansei Gakuin signed a partnership agreement with the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art and the Yokoo Tadanori Museum of Contemporary Art. The purpose of the agreement is to facilitate interactions through mutual projects, with the aims of promoting arts and culture, as well as enriching Kwansei Gakuin’s educational curriculum and strengthening its local connections. Akira Miyahara, Chair of the Board of Trustees, commented that “By experiencing various art forms, students and staff at Kwansei Gakuin can develop their soul’s love for art and their sense of aesthetics. An aesthetic sense is an important thing to have for people who are going to play an active role in the world, and it will become a major positive for them. I’d like to see great artwork, and develop a greater awareness of the feelings that are evoked by art." Thanks to the agreement, beginning in April, KGU students (including exchange students) can avail of free admission to general exhibits, as well as discounted rates for special exhibits, at the museums listed below.
