Prof. Yukihiro Ozaki Honored for His Contributions to Raman Spectroscopy

Yukihiro Ozaki, Ph.D., Professor at the School of Science and Technology, received an award at the international convention “90 Years of the Raman Effect: Current Status and Future Directions,” in Bangalore, India, on February 28th, 2018. The event was held to mark the 90th anniversary of the discovery of the Raman effect, on February 28th, 1928.

Prof. Haruka Yamada began researching Raman spectroscopy at Kwansei Gakuin University 55 years ago. 29 years ago, Prof. Ozaki took the reins, making the university into a global base for Raman spectroscopy. Prof. Ozaki’s many contributions to the field of Raman spectroscopy were acknowledged at the event.
