On April 6th, the "Start Up KSC! 2018" student support event was held on the Kobe Sanda Campus. The event, targeted at new students enrolled in the School of Policy Studies and the School of Science and Technology, provided general information about all facets of student life, including the study abroad system, the Hands-On Learning program, teacher training courses, scholarships, advice for living on your own, and more. The initiative, a version of the "Campus Life ABC!" program that has been held on the Nishinomiya Uegahara campus up to now, is a first for the Kobe Sanda campus, and aims to help new Kobe Sanda students lead problem-free student lives.

There were a total of 16 programs offered. Roughly 600 students gathered to attend the two study abroad-related sessions. One first-year attendee from the School of Policy Studies commented that "I'm glad that I was able to learn more about things that I couldn't understand just through orientation. It was a good opportunity for me to think about what I want to do during my university student life with a cool head."
