Nippon Professional Baseball players Takashi Ogino (2008 graduate, School of Law and Politics, Chiba Lotte Marines) and Naoki Miyanishi (2008 graduate, School of Business Administration, Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters) will be appearing in the MyNavi All-Star Game 2018 on July 13th and 14th. Ogino was selected by the coaches, while Miyanishi was selected by fan vote. This will mark their first All-Star appearances.

Both players enrolled at KGU in 2004, and joined the baseball team as first-year students. Ogino recorded 17 stolen bases in the spring of his senior year in 2007, breaking a record that had stood for 23 years, and was named one of the best nine players in college baseball five times, among his other accomplishments.
