On December 3rd, Kwansei Gakuin University held Christmas tree lighting ceremonies on its Nishinomiya Uegahara, Nishinomiya Seiwa and Kobe-Sanda campuses.

Students from the elementary school, junior high, high school and university gathered to attend the ceremonies, in addition to faculty members and neighborhood families. After the wind ensemble played hymns at the ceremony on the Nishinomiya Uegahara campus, Chancellor Musubi Tabuchi gave a Christmas message.

Afterward, Chancellor Tabuchi and Motoo Nakamichi, Head of the School of Theology, along with representatives from the university, high school, junior high and elementary school, joined together with the crowd to begin a countdown before activating the lights. The button was pressed, and all at once, beams of bright light burst from the Himalayan cedar trees by the clock tower, eliciting cheers from the crowd.

The Christmas trees will stay lit on each campus until December 25th.
