Solving Contemporary Societal Issues Through Bioscience, Biomedical Sciences and Applied Chemistry

The School of Biological and Environmental Sciences is comprised of three Departments. The Department of Biosciences tackles functional analysis of plants, insects, microorganisms and other lifeforms as a starting point for developing the skills to address contemporary societal problems dealing topics such as the environment, food and health. The Department of Biomedical Sciences teaches its students about topics from life sciences to practical medical applications, while the Department of Applied Chemistry for Environment pursues the creation of an environmentally friendly society from a scientific point of view.
